The Making Of Picha Deadly Film

By Arachnid Entertainment Youth Group from Kajiado

Team Imara

Picha deadly is an entertaining and educative animated short film series shedding light on the issue of pornography among the youth. It was produced by Arachnid Entertainment youth group. We had a brief interview with their group leader below to know more about the group.

How did you hear of Imara TV? (e.g. social media, friends, our website, or an event)

Through social media

What is the name of your youth group, and how did you meet?

Our group name is Arachnid Ent. I’ve met most of the members at Media Arts College.

How many are you, and how do you share roles?

We’re about ten members. Everyone has a role to play. For instance, we all contributed to putting Picha Deadly film together. Dave from Tarus Studios was instrumental during the recording. The voice-over sessions were fun.

What inspired you to start this group?

I’d say it’s my love for film and animation.

How does your group help the youth?

The production for these short films creates employment for the youth.

What’s the biggest challenge that you face?

The biggest challenge is meeting deadlines for the production schedule. Clip sync is quite a challenge too.

Who is your role model?

Idris Elba

What’s your vision for the year 2030?

Hopefully, a future where we can live as one with guidance being easily accessible.

Your advice to the youth?

My advice would be to avoid pornography. It is easy to get addicted and get lost in it at a young age. Instead, let’s use that energy to discover our talents and be productive.
